FRSFreeStateNow: “President Obama Pushes Energy Policy with Renewed Pipeline Focus”: What a Comprehensive Energy Policy looks like

Energy Solution

Obama pushes energy policy with renewed pipeline focus.

To say that Politics and Gas Prices, well actually the Politics of Gas Prices. Has nothing to do with President Obama’s decision to speed up the review of the Keystone Pipeline. Would be like saying Islamic Terrorism isn’t a threat to National Security. You would really sound out of the loop. The biggest threat to the President’s reelection , is Gas Prices, high Gas Prices. Could put his election in doubt, especially if he sounds like he doesn’t know what to do about them. And Mitt Romney sounds like he has a plan, so what the President is doing. Is taking every step he possibly can on his own. To deal with Gas Prices, like looking at Keystone but also putting proposals on the table to create an American Energy Policy. Yes for political reasons but also because he believes its the right thing to do.

The only way to get off of Foreign Oil, which would benefit our economy and Foreign Policy. Because of all the new jobs it would create, with Energy Industries. And give Foreign Nations less leverage over us, because we would no longer need their oil. Is by developing and using more and a lot of American Energy. And that means all of it and producing a lot of it. And then using our Energy Resources efficiently and then taxing polluters and awarding non polluters. That means restoring the Super Fund, that taxes polluters. And in the short term at least but we can do this indefinitely. Without hurting the environment, if done right. Is having more Oil Drilling but also using our other Energy Resources. Natural Gas, Nuclear Power, Electricity, Solar and Wind.

We should be telling American Big Oil, either drill on those lands that have been leased to you. Or be taxed everyday your not drilling on them. In exchange they would be allowed in other areas as well. Like the Gulf Coast, Southwest, Rocky West, Alaska. And keeping that energy at home and start developing our Clean Energy Industry as well. Providing Big Oil and Gas with some competition. Putting in better Fuel Standards so we are more efficient and don’t hurt the environment. With all the Energy Resources we have, we shouldn’t have to use Foreign Oil.
